1. Booking & Payment
A booking is confirmed on receipt of a 20% deposit. The balance is due 15 days before departure. Payments may be made by bank transfer or card; card payments carry the processor's fee.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations more than 30 days before departure receive a full refund of the deposit. Between 30 and 15 days, 50% of the deposit is refunded. Within 15 days, deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a future trip within 12 months.
3. Itinerary Changes
Himalayan travel is subject to weather, flight availability and trail conditions. We reserve the right to adjust itineraries for safety; equivalent alternatives will always be offered, and our guides' decisions on safety matters are final.
4. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all trekking itineraries and must include helicopter evacuation coverage up to the trip's maximum altitude.
5. Health & Fitness
Clients are responsible for disclosing medical conditions at booking. Our guides may end a client's participation where continuing would endanger the client or the group; in such cases no refund is due for unused services.
6. Liability
Swadesh Travels acts in good faith and is not liable for delays or losses caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including weather, natural events, or third-party service failures.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Kathmandu.
