Annapurna Circuit Trek
Overview
The Annapurna Circuit is often called the world's best long-distance trek — and for good reason. Over 16 days you travel through every climate zone in Nepal, from terraced rice paddies and banana groves to the arctic crossing of the Thorong La pass at 5,416 metres.
The trail follows the Marsyangdi river upstream past Gurung and Manangi villages, with the massive walls of Annapurna II and Gangapurna overhead. After acclimatising in Manang, you cross the great pass to Muktinath, sacred to Hindus and Buddhists alike, and descend into the arid, Tibetan-flavoured Kali Gandaki valley — the deepest gorge on Earth.
Comfortable teahouses, expert guides and a carefully paced ascent profile make this challenging classic achievable for any fit walker.

Frequently Asked Questions
The pass day is long (8-10 hours) and starts before dawn, but with proper acclimatisation the gradient itself is moderate. Our pacing gives you the best possible chance.
We run the circuit anticlockwise (Besisahar to Jomsom) because it allows a far safer ascent profile for the pass.
