TREKKING

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

7 Days Easy Max 3,210 m 2-14 people Year-round

Overview

Short, low-altitude and endlessly beautiful, the Poon Hill trek is Nepal's favourite introduction to Himalayan walking. Stone staircases climb through rhododendron forest — a riot of red and pink each spring — to the Magar village of Ghorepani.

A pre-dawn climb of Poon Hill (3,210 m) delivers one of the world's great sunrises: Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre and thirty other peaks igniting one by one. Ideal for families and first-timers.
